令和4年1月17日から令和4年3月4日まで、全インド医科大学（AIIMS）の若手医師を対象とする、病院管理やがん治療、医療ICT等に関わる遠隔研修を実施しました。香川大学とJICA四国間では強力な連携協力体制のもと、特に医学部が中心となって、人材育成事業や地域保健等の分野における研修員受入事業、学校保健や母子保健等分野における草の根技術協力事業等において、着実に連携実績を積み上げています。この度の研修には、腫瘍内科や腫瘍外科、放射線治療や産婦人科、麻酔科、腫瘍病理等と、広範な専門分野で4年以上の実務経験を有する助教および准教授レベルのAIIMS所属医師14名が参加しました。コロナ禍のために完全遠隔研修とせざるを得ず、実体験を積む機会を提供できなかったことは残念でしたが、総じて研修員の意欲は高く、高い水準の論議が展開されたように思います。また、研修後のアンケ―トでは、研修員から総じて高い評価を得ました。
本事業は令和3年から4か年に渡り実施される予定です。次年度以降は、オンライン教材を活用しつつ、現地での研修を織り交ぜるとともに、研修員の専門性に合わせた選択プログラムの導入等の改善を図る所存です。

From January 17 to March 4, 2022, online training in hospital management, cancer treatment, medical ICT, etc., was conducted for young doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS). Note that, with strong cooperation from JICA Shikoku, Kagawa University has held human resource development projects, especially in telemedicine, community health, school health, maternal and child health issues, and so on.
We welcomed 14 distinguished assistant professors and associate professor-level medical doctors from AIIMS. They have considerable practical experience in specialized fields such as oncology, cancer surgery, radiotherapy, obstetrics & gynecology, anesthesiology, and oncology pathology. It is unfortunate that we couldn't provide face-to-face, hands-on experiences because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In spite of this, the trainees were generally highly motivated, and high-level discussions occurred throughout the course. In the post-training questionnaire, the trainees generally gave high marks on the present course.
This project is scheduled to be implemented for 4 years. From the next fiscal year onward, we will utilize online teaching materials, interweave local training, and develop elective programs that match well the expertise of trainees.
