Emergency and Disaster Medicine is a young discipline in itself.
Youth means the existence of vast, unexplored alpine terrain
and the unlimited possibilities that lie therein.
We will teach you so that you can climb the mountain and see what the future holds.

The most important aspects are "to train students to think scientifically" and "to develop the sensitivity to examine the whole patient, including the mental aspect, from the standpoint of the patient and his/her family. We want you to acquire the skills and knowledge to deal with emergency patients, resuscitation and intensive care of critically ill patients, medical control systems (i.e., to ensure the quality of work by emergency medical services), and leadership in disaster medicine. We will teach you all of them.

1. Research on resuscitation using extracorporeal circulation for cardiac arrest patients
2. Research on neurointensive care for brain injury after resumption of heartbeat
3. Research on impaired autoregulation of cerebral blood flow in brain injury
4. Research on prehospital and initial treatment of severe trauma patients
